sit for the Licensed Bachelor Social Worker (LBSW) licensure
examination administered by the Association of Social Work Boards
(ASWB). Pass rate data is reported publicly in compliance with ASWB
school reporting requirements.

About the LBSW Exam
The ASWB Bachelor examination is the licensure exam required to
become a Licensed Bachelor Social Worker (LBSW) in Maryland.
During the last semester in the UMBC BSW Program, students are eligible to apply
for licensure by sitting for this exam. For more information about
