Applying to UMBC for the BSW Program
All applications to UMBC are handled through the main UMBC
Admissions Office — not through the Social Work Program directly.
Upon acceptance to the university, you can declare social work as
your major.
Applying to UMB for the MSW Program
UMBC BSW graduates are eligible to apply to the University of
Maryland School of Social Work’s MSW Program, including Advanced
Standing options that allow you to complete the degree in 1–2 years.
