Volunteer for the Women's Center's "Take Back the Night"

Social Work Student Association is excited to be supporting the Women's Center's "Take Back the Night" initiative! Here is information from the Women's Center about how to get involved:

I hope everyone is having a great semester. We're getting in touch with you because you've expressed interest in volunteering for
Take Back the Night on Thursday, April 25th. For more information on Take Back the Night, visit our Wordpress.

If you are interestedplease fill out this Volunteer Form, where you can see different tasks we need help with, as well as the mandatory volunteer training date (March 28th from 2:30-4:00 PM) and other info.

If you identify as a survivor of gender-based harm, and are interested in being a speaker during The Survivor Speak Out and March, please email us separately so we can give you more information. This is a role where you will be asked to speak at a microphone (using a prepared script) and/or lead the march with a megaphone, as well as, reading out a scripted speech before the march begins.

This is a great event, message, and group of people and we are really hoping to have some good SWSA representation there so please consider coming out to volunteer or show your support!

Feel free to reach out to the Women's Center at womenscenter@umbc.edu with any questions!
