Description

Advocacy and social enterprise are two ways that allow us to begin to face out into our communities. Advocacy has been recognized as important within many professions, but is not always practiced; social enterprise, is also a way of interacting with the world but is uncomfortable to do for many.  What are the forces pushing for "facing out" and what are the barriers to doing so?

Dr. Richard Hoefer is the Roy E. Dulak Professor of Community Practice Research at the University of Texas at Arlington and the director of the Center for Advocacy, Nonprofit and Donor Organizations (CAN-DO).

Presentation: Tuesday September 15, 2015 at 4:30 PM
at the Albin O. Kuhn Library & Gallery 7th floor.
